Nikara Warren joins JPI’s acclaimed monthly concert series, Intergenerational Jazz Power Jam with performances from Ms. Warren’s debut album, “Scenes From Black Wall Street,” and Jazz Power’s 2023 Community Artist-in-Residence, Annette A. Aguilar leads a series of Uptown community workshops and performances.

Jazz Power Initiative receives grant by the National Endowment for the Arts

Welcome to the Jazz Power Reunion, September Intergenerational Jazz Power Jam

After a joyful return to live in-person performance at Jazzmobile in July at Marcus Garvey Park in Harlem, Jazz Power Initiative (JPI) is excited to kick off its new season of INTERGENERATIONAL JAZZ POWER JAM live in-person on Sunday, September 12, 2021 at 2 PM EST in collaboration with The National Jazz Museum in Harlem, “Welcome to the Jazz Power Reunion” is our September Intergenerational Jazz Power Jam.

Jazz Power Initiative (JPI) concludes its summer 2021 season with our Intergenerational Jazz Power Jam on Friday, July 16, 2021 at 7pm, live and in-person at the Richard Rodgers Amphitheater in Marcus Garvey Park, Harlem, New York City.

Zah! Jazz Power Youth recorded A Healing Song, 20th anniversary arrangement in Spanish and English at the United Palace in the Heights in partnership with Northern Manhattan Arts Alliance. Stay tuned for premiere later this month.
