In Celebration of Black History Month

Over the past two years, the organization engaged 1,200 students in 100 online workshops, but Jazz Power is excited to open its doors to new students in person for first time since the pandemic began.

Uptown Manhattan artists have a gift for you!

As with many organizations in Washington Heights, Inwood and Harlem, we have kept working throughout this difficult pandemic, to continue our intergenerational, multicultural work with our students, teaching artists and audiences. And we have never lost our passion about the amazing lessons of adaptability, creativity and community that jazz music has to offer us all.

Holiday Message From Managing and Artistic Director, Eli Yamin

As so many in our community continue to confront crisis related to loss of health, work and income; increased isolation and depression; Jazz Power Initiative continues to grow and change to serve students, artists, educators, seniors and others where they are — at home.
