For 10 Saturdays, students from PS4 Duke Ellington School signed up for our first Jazz Power Youth Prep program, with Jazz Power Initiative artists Mickey Davidson, choreographer, Robert Silverman, pianist and composer and Eli Yamin, artistic director, along with PS4 music teacher, Jose Cantu.

On the evening of May 24, this group of 40 young children performed their final showcase to a joyful and proud auditorium, with great professionalism and commitment.

Thank you very much to City Council Member Ydanis Rodriguez and the Cultural Immigrant Initiative for making this program possible.
