What do Duke Ellington and Hip Hop have in common? Probably more than you think! Join us Saturday, April 27th, from 1 to 3 p.m. at Harlem School of the Arts to find out at an unforgettable celebration of music spanning from 125 years of Duke Ellington to 50 years of Hip Hop. We Got That Swing!, a Harlem Music Jubilee, presented by Jazz Power Initiative in collaboration with Harlem School of the Arts, features an incredible lineup including Charenee Wade and her trio, Silent Knight, our very own Zah! Jr. youth ensemble with Dr. E, as well as All-City High School Jazz Ensemble under the direction of Paul Corn, HSA’s Dorothy Maynor Singers, Nat King Cole Generation Hope Ensemble, AND dancers.
